The 138th Open Golf Championship 2009

Turnberry, Ayrshire

The 138th British Open will for the fourth time in its history be hosted by Turnberry. The venue has a vast amount of history with names such as Norman, Watson all lifting the famous claret jug, the last winner was Nick Price in 1994.

The Ailsa championship course is regarded as one of the finest courses in the world and rose to international stardom in 1977 when Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson battled over the four days for the claret jug.

The crowds witnessed two of the best golfers providing a performance of the highest level whilst the course was drowned in sunshine.

After this years Open, will Harrington make history and lift his third consecutive British Open title. Now that the dust has settled on a great championship at Royal Birkdale. We now move on to Turnberry and world famous Ailsa course which will provide the sternest of tests for the worlds golfers.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT
For next years open we have some new packages available:

OPEN SPORTSMAN
Short of time? This package is designed for clients who want a flexible option to include Official Open Golf Hospitality all fitting into 24 hours. The Open Sportsman arrives whenever the travel arrangements allow and goes on the course straightaway to catch up on the action.

You will be armed with food and drink vouchers that can be redeemed in the public catering outlets on the course, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the golf. After an enjoyable day on the course guests can then return to the Official Open Golf Hospitality Village where you will be welcome with afternoon tea, drinks in the bar and a three course dinner with house wine.

OPEN GUEST
As an Open Guest you will be well placed to enjoy the days action whilst benefitting from full hospitality including bacon rolls, tea & coffee to set you up for the morning`s golf.

Clients will be hosted in a private chalet or restaurant the package will include three-course luncheon and afternoon tea complete with a full bar and house wine served with lunch. This option is flexible so why not upgrade wines, include champagne or for the special touch add a gift. Call our team to discuss your specific requirements.

OPEN CLUBHOUSE
The Open Clubhouse is a premier package providing clients with a new level of comfort, style and informality suited to the passionate golfer.

Club House guests will have access to a unique, shared space designed to provide informal areas for eating and relaxing. The a la carte Club Menu will offer a range of food choices that change throughout the day. Its ideal for people who want to follow their favourite golfer but want a quick steak sandwich before rushing off. The experience includes all their food requirements available on request all day and a full bar with a list of wines including champagne.

OPEN SEAFOOD & CHAMPAGNE
At Turnberry we will be offering a premium package in the new Loch Fyne Seafood Restaurant in the official hospitality village. Based on tables of 10 guests, the package includes breakfast canapes, bucks fizz, coffee and tea, three-course seafood lunch including champagne and fine wines followed by afterboon tea.

This is a premier package which will perfectly compliment the coastal location of the tournament and provide your guests with a memorable experience of Scotland`s famed hospitality.

Please note that bookings for Friday must include another day – please check availability.

We can offer private corporate chalets situated within the Official hospitality village which provide guests with an exclusive facility for 30 or 50 guests – there is an option to book for any day of the Championship or across all four days.

Bookings are also accepted for two persons or more, private tables can be reserved for 8-12 guests, smaller groups will be on shared tables.
