In 2012, the British Open will be played for the 11th time at Royal Lytham & St Annes
The golf course was designed by the world-renowned architect Donald Steel, and the proximity of the sea and Óbidos lagoon afford hotel residents fantastic views of the natural beauty that surrounds.
It’s one of the toughest links courses in the UK and home to the 2011 Open Championships. Have you got what it takes to play Royal St George’s?
New Special Offer Packages inclusive of round at Font del Llop & use of the Spa facilities. Transfers available to and from hotel & courses.
The Duke's Course, St Andrews
The Duke’s St Andrews was designed by five-time Open champion, Peter Thomson, in 2004 to complement the five classic links courses of the Home of Golf and to enhance St Andrew’s standing as a golfing mecca.
Its spectacular setting high above St Andrews offers stunning
panoramic views over the Auld Grey Toon, the magnificent
Grampian Mountains and the famous West Sands while the
sheltered fairways and rough-edged bunkers reminiscent of the
great heathland courses of the early 1900s, provide golfers
with a welcome respite from the tough windy links of St Andrews.
With five separate tee positions at every hole however, The Duke’s offers both challenging play and flexibility for golfers of every level.
In recognition of the quality of the course and its clubhouse, The
Duke’s was voted the ‘Best Club in the UK’ by the Golf Club of
the Year Awards in 2010 and in 2008, Golf World magazine
included The Duke’s course in its Top 100 Courses in the UK.
All Green Fees include a complimentary golf cart, range balls
and 1st tee pack including course guide, pitchfork and bag tag, and are inclusive of transfers to and from the Old Course Hotel. Transfers must be booked via the Old Course Hotel Golf Stewards.
If you are playing at The Duke’s then it is best to stay at the Old Course Hotel.
