2009 Lord Mayor of Manchester`s Charity Golf Day
The Lord Mayors Charity Golf Day was held on Tuesday 8th September 2009 at Northenden Golf Club. We were delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile event which has helped to raise much needed funds for the Lord Mayors Charity Appeal.
Sporting heroes, Sir Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law and Shaun Murphy had supported event over the past months and we were extremely honoured to have Sir Bobby Charlton teeing of the event on what was a fantastic day for all that took part.

The Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Trust is a registered charity which through its fundraising seeks to support local voluntary, charitable, community and youth groups based and operating in the city.
One of the Trusts most important activities is to provide holidays for families and children, who without such help would never enjoy a break from life on the poverty line.
Through such support the Charity seeks to alleviate the effects of poverty within Manchester. Grants are small but deliberately target those small groups and organisations which have no national profile and specialist fundraisers.

There were also prizes awarded for straightest drive, nearest the pin and the overall Ladies Winner on the day.
The team presentations were following by the charity auction and raffle which again helped to raise much needed funds and we are extremely grateful to all of the sponsors who very kindly donated items to the day.
For those teams who were unable to enter the golf day, we are proud to announce that the Lord Mayors Charity Golf Day will become a regular fixture and we look forward to the 2010 event to held at Northenden Golf Club.
